Download responses as PDFs

Open a response on the form's Responses page and press Download PDF. Dates print in your own time zone. The PDF holds the form's title, when it was submitted, the response ID, the time it took and the ending shown, then every answer the person saw, in order, followed by any hidden fields and calculated fields. Signatures print as images. A PDF suits the records you file or print:

• Staff records: a return to work release form, a written warning form, a termination form or a summative teacher evaluation form.
• Client records: a tattoo release form, a personal trainer intake form, a massage client intake form, a tax preparer intake form or a talent release form.
• Customer and property records: a tenancy application form, a commercial credit application, a trade account application form, a property condition report or a daily vehicle inspection form.

On the Responses tab, check up to 100 responses and press PDF in the bar that appears. You get one file in which each response starts on a new page, with page numbers counted within each response. Signature images are drawn for up to 25 responses in one file; beyond that they are linked. Use it to print every event photo release form from one shoot at once, a class set of school trip permission slips for the trip folder, or a day's orders from a catering order form for the kitchen.

In the Workflows tab, open Email me and turn on Attach a PDF of the response. It is free and off until you turn it on. When a PDF would be over 5 MB, for example a commercial roof inspection report with many photos, the email carries a download link instead, valid for 7 days. Files inside the PDF link out for 30 days, since the people you forward it to have no account.

Every webhook payload carries pdfUrl, a link to the same PDF that works for 7 days, so a Zapier, Make or n8n recipe can file it wherever you like.

Respondents can get a PDF of their own answers in two ways: attached to the confirmation email from Email the respondent, on Pro, or through the Email me a copy of my answers button on your thank-you screen, which is free. Their copy holds only their own answers, never hidden fields or calculated fields.

PDFs are A4 and carry "Made with PulseFormCreator" in the footer, unless you are on Pro and have turned the badge off in Settings, under Branding. Text in scripts outside the Latin alphabet, such as Chinese or Arabic, and emoji print as [?], with a note that the full text is in your results.
