Teams and roles: invite your team
Pro and Business include unlimited teammates, each with a role. Invite them from Team in the dashboard sidebar. Everyone signs in with their own email, and billing stays with the owner.

The roles
Everyone in a workspace has one role. The owner is whoever owns the account and its plan.
| Role | What they can do | Edit forms | See responses | Invite people | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including the plan and billing. | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Admin | Everything except billing, including inviting and removing people. | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
| Editor | Builds, edits and deletes forms, sees and exports responses, sets up integrations. | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| Builder | Builds and edits forms. Can’t see responses or set up integrations. | Yes | No | No | No |
| Viewer | Sees forms and their results. Can’t change anything. | No | Yes | No | No |
A builder can build and edit a sensitive form without ever seeing anyone's answers, exports or files: an offboarding checklist form, an employee disciplinary action form, a sickness absence form or a fitness for duty form, say, a peer observation form for a school, or a credit account application form for a finance team.
Invite someone
- Choose Team in the dashboard sidebar.
- Type their email address, pick a role and press Send invite.
- They get an email with an Accept invite button. The link works for 14 days, and they accept by signing in with an email code at the address you invited.
Open invites are listed under Waiting to join. Resend sends a new link, and the old one stops working; Withdraw cancels the invite.
Change a role, remove someone, or leave
Owners and admins change a teammate's role from the list on the Team page, or press Remove. A teammate can press Leave next to their own name. Rename changes the workspace's name.
If you belong to more than one workspace, a switcher at the top of the sidebar moves you between them. On Pro, a teammate can also be the target of the Assign to a teammate workflow step, such as the on-call technician for a repair service request form, and get the form digests, such as a daily one of new stallholder applications for the market committee; see Workflows.
Plans and seats
Teams are on Pro and Business, with unlimited teammates and no charge per seat. Forms use the owner's plan, whoever built them. If the owner moves to Free, teammates lose access until the owner upgrades again, and nothing is deleted.
