Reply to someone from their response. In Results, open a response, write under Your reply and press Send reply. Their answer comes back into the same conversation, and you get an email when it does. It works on every plan when the response has an email answer. On Pro, Draft with AI writes a first draft for you to edit, and a draft is never sent on its own.

Approvals (Pro): a response can wait for someone’s OK. Add the step Send to someone for approval to a workflow. The approver doesn’t need an account: they approve or reject from their inbox, then confirm on the page that opens. If they reject it, the workflow stops or carries on, whichever you chose.

A Book a time button for your thank-you screen, free. It links to Cal.com, Calendly, a Google booking page or any https link, and fills in the person’s name and email. Rules can send different people to different links.

Calendar invites: the step Send a calendar invite emails an .ics invite that works in any calendar app. Your own copy is free; invites to respondents are on Pro.

Custom workflows: chain up to 20 steps in a numbered list, such as an email to you, a Slack post, a calendar invite or a tag, plus waits, approvals and emails to respondents on Pro. Three active workflows per form are free, and Pro has no limit.

The tab called Connect is now Workflows, and you can open it and set things up before you have an account. Workflows turn on when you save your form.

AI triage: turn it on and each new response gets a short summary, a priority from P1 to P3, a sentiment and up to four tags. 100 responses a month are free, and Pro has no limit. AI triage runs only on forms where you turn it on. Answers to contact questions, files and signatures are never sent. The AI data policy lists what is sent.

People: everyone who answers a form with an email question lands in your People list, with a timeline of their responses, emails and replies, plus tags, segments and bulk email. Free up to 1,000 people.

Every notification can wait for a condition. Only when answers match is free; a delay of an hour, a day or up to 30 days is on Pro.

Attach a PDF of the answers to each notification email, free. Above 5 MB it arrives as a link instead.

Paid plans are live: Pro and Business are billed through Stripe. The test-mode note in the 17 Sep entry no longer applies.

Teams (Pro): invite as many teammates as you need, each with a role. Admins manage the team, editors build forms and read responses, builders build forms without seeing any responses, and viewers read results without changing anything.

A public REST API, free on every plan. Read your forms and responses, delete responses and manage webhooks from your own code. Create keys under Account, then API keys. The API docs cover every endpoint.

Download any response as a PDF (Download PDF in the response panel) on every plan, or one PDF of up to 100 selected responses.

A daily or weekly summary email with new responses and completion rate for each form. It is off until you turn it on in your account, skips any period with nothing new, and every one has its own unsubscribe link.

Custom domains (Pro): share forms on an address such as forms.yourcompany.com.

Send from your own domain (Pro): notification emails can come from an address at your domain after you add three DNS records.

Results update live while you watch, and you can filter responses by their answers.

Polls can limit voting to people who confirm their email with a code, or to an invite list with personal links (Business). A poll can also ask voters one short follow-up question about their answer, written by AI, and the answers show in the poll’s results.

Every question type, rebuilt against what people complain about

New question type: Name. It is one box by default, because one box takes every kind of name, and nothing is checked against a pattern, so O’Neill, Smith-Jones and 李小龙 all go through. Browsers and phones can fill it in. Switch the layout if you need first and last name in separate columns, and turn autofill off when you are asking for someone else’s name, such as a guardian. The templates that used a short answer for a name now use it. That makes 23 question types.

Matrix grids can now take one answer per row, several answers per row, or a text box in every cell. You can add an “N/A” column and shuffle the rows. On a phone each row is its own card, so nothing scrolls sideways.

Sections now hold the questions beneath them. Hide a section and every question in it hides too, and hidden questions are never required or submitted. People can fold a section closed if you let them. “Section break” is now called “Section”. Sections you made before today behave as they always did.

Checkboxes can have an answer that clears the rest, such as “None of the above”.

People can take an answer back. On a question that is not required, choosing the selected answer again clears it, for multiple choice, dropdowns, ratings and grids.

A slider shows no value until someone touches it, and a ranking has a “This order is right” button, so an untouched default is never recorded as an answer.

Email answers are checked more carefully. An address ending in “.com2” or with no dot at all is now refused, while long endings such as “.photography” and international addresses are accepted.

Exports gained columns built for analysis: one 1 or 0 column for every checkbox option, and one column for every grid row. They are added at the end of the file, so the columns you already had stay exactly where they were.

NPS: when the scale wraps onto two rows on a narrow screen, “0 = Not at all likely” and “10 = Extremely likely” now sit beside the numbers they describe.

The Tally importer now brings across grids that allowed several answers per row, and shuffled rows.

The Add menu opens with the ten most-used question types. “Single choice” is now “Multiple choice” and “Multiple choice” is now “Checkboxes”, the names Google Forms and Tally use. Searching for the old names still finds them.

Options, text boxes, rating pads and every other answer surface now share one edge: a hairline drawn from your own theme’s text color, instead of the heavier fixed border they each carried. Picking an option shows a clean accent ring and a light wash rather than a colored shadow. Forms look the same in the editor as they do to the people filling them in.

Dark and tinted themes get the right edge automatically: a light hairline on a dark form, a warm one on a cream form.

Polls now use the same styling as forms, so both look like one product.

Adding a question opens the block picker straight away, and an “AI draft” button in that picker opens the prompt without taking space from the list.

Arriving from a template still tells you which template you started from, and links back to the draft you had before.

Accessibility: better contrast on keyboard hints, a visible focus ring on option rows, and dialogs now respect “reduce motion” properly.

Logic moves into the canvas

The Logic tab is gone. Rules and endings are now cards in the canvas: a rule sits under the question it runs after, rules with no question sit in an “After the last question” group, and endings sit in an “Endings” group at the bottom. Click a card to edit it where it is.

One Add button in the sidebar and on the phone dock now covers everything you can put in a form: the question types, plus Rule, Ending and “Only show a question when…”.

The flow map is now a read-only dialog, opened with a Flow button in the top bar. The button appears once your form has a rule, more than one ending, or a question that only shows some of the time. Clicking a block in the map selects it in the canvas.

Scoring moved onto the question it scores, in that question’s settings. Calculated values moved to Settings, under Advanced.

The tabs became Questions, Design, Settings, Connect and Publish (Share was renamed Publish the same day). Connect was renamed Workflows on 22 Sep. Forms you already built keep working and nothing about a published form changed.

Sharing, attribution and upgrade prompts

Move from Tally with the Tally importer. Sign in, then bring a form across with a Tally API key (used once and never stored) or its form JSON; it arrives as a draft. With the API key, past responses come too, with their original dates, and running the import twice adds nothing new.

A “Made with PulseFormCreator” badge now appears on every page of a survey, on thank-you screens, on closed and password screens, inside embeds and pop-ups, and on polls. It used to appear on the first page only. It opens in a new tab, so clicking it from inside an embed no longer replaces the page someone was on.

Default thank-you screens carry a “Create your own survey” card. If you wrote your own ending, your wording stays and only the small badge is added.

Removing the badge is the same paid feature everywhere now, including polls, where the switch used to be free.

Link previews: pasting a survey link into Slack, WhatsApp or LinkedIn now shows a preview card with your survey’s own title and description. The Share tab (now Publish) shows what that card looks like before you send it.

Emails carry a small “Made with PulseFormCreator” line. On paid plans, turning the badge off removes it from the emails your respondents get, along with the “via PulseFormCreator” sender name. Your own notification emails keep it.

Owner notification emails now include your survey’s share link, so it is one copy away when you want to send it again.

A thank-you link for a survey that doesn’t exist now returns a “not available” page. It used to show a blank thank-you.

We remember how you first found PulseFormCreator in a first-party cookie for 90 days, so we know which channels send people to us. It holds the referring site’s name and campaign tags. It does not hold your identity, and there are no third-party trackers. We don’t set it at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or if you’re in the EU, EEA or UK.

After your first publish we ask once how you found us. You can skip the question.

Upgrade prompts are now based on counts: the drop-off prompt only appears when at least five people started and didn’t finish in the last week, it uses visit counts (we never keep answers from unfinished responses on Free), and every prompt can be dismissed permanently.

New question types: number, phone number, website link, time, signature, consent checkbox, picture choice and address. The builder now has 22 question types, including matrix (Likert), ranking, slider and file upload.

New layout blocks: image, video (YouTube, Vimeo or Loom) and embed, making 8 layout blocks in total.

Single choice, multiple choice and dropdown questions can offer an “Other” option with a text box and shuffle the option order for each respondent. Multiple choice can also show as a searchable dropdown. Address questions show a state list and check the postal code for Australian addresses.

Logic v2: show or hide any block based on answers, hidden fields or calculated values. Conditions can use all or any, nested groups, and new operators such as “is any of”, “is every of”, “starts with” and “greater than”. The new Logic tab has a flow map and rules that jump ahead, end the survey or calculate a value.

Calculated values, scoring and endings: give points to options and answers, weight questions, and send people to different ending screens or redirects based on their answers or score. Paths, scores and endings are checked again on our server for every response.

Hidden fields and prefill: capture values such as UTM tags from the survey link, prefill answers from link parameters or default answers, and build prefill links in the Share tab (now Publish). Hidden-field values can be passed on to redirect URLs.

Answer piping: type @ to mention an earlier answer, a hidden field or a calculated value in question text, endings and emails, with an optional fallback.

Embeds in eight styles: standard, full page, popup, slider, popover, side tab, chatbot and feedback. Popups can open on click, on page load, after a delay, on exit intent or on scroll. Embeds resize to fit and pass the host page’s link parameters to the survey. A plain iframe and an email button are also available.

Integrations, in the tab now called Workflows: email notifications to you, confirmation emails to respondents, signed webhooks with automatic retries and a delivery log, Slack, Discord, Zapier, Make and n8n presets, and data sync to Notion, Airtable and Google Sheets (through a private CSV feed). Notion and Airtable can also sync responses you already have.

Access and integrity: password protection (passwords are stored hashed), open and close dates with a time zone, response limits, duplicate prevention (once per browser, once per browser or network, or once per answer), spam protection (a hidden honeypot field and an optional minimum completion time) and custom messages for closed surveys.

Results: the results page now has Summary, Insights, Responses and Partial tabs. Insights shows views, starts, completions, median completion time and traffic sources. You can search and filter responses and export the ones you select.

Partial responses (Pro) keep answers from people who don’t finish. “Save and continue later” is on by default and keeps a respondent’s progress on their own device.

Keyboard editing: undo and redo (Ctrl+Z or ⌘Z), a shortcuts list (press ?), shortcuts to insert, duplicate, move and delete blocks or mark a question as required, “Turn into” to change a block’s type in place, markdown shortcuts for headings and dividers, and pasting a list to create options. Deleting a block shows an Undo button.

Plans: Free (US$0), Pro (US$21 a month or US$217 a year) and Business (US$66 a month or US$667 a year). Free includes unlimited surveys and responses (subject to fair use), every question type, logic, integrations, CSV and Excel export, anonymous mode, and file uploads up to 10 MB each.

Pro adds: removing PulseFormCreator branding, partial responses, drop-off insights, full insights history (Free shows the last 7 days), respondent confirmation emails, custom notification emails, link previews and SEO settings, custom CSS, tracking pixels, 30 days of version history and uploads up to 5 GB each. Business adds: respondent email verification with one-time codes, limiting answers to your email domains, data retention controls, 90 days of version history and priority support.

If you stop paying, paid settings stay saved but switch off, and they come back when you upgrade. Owners who already used custom link previews keep them. Billing ran through Stripe in test mode at first; paid plans went live on 22 Sep.

Anonymous mode (every plan): turn on Anonymous responses in Settings › Privacy and PulseFormCreator stops storing IP address hashes, browser and device details, location, referring site and UTM tags. Visits are no longer linked to responses. Respondents see a notice explaining what is and isn’t collected. Tracking pixels don’t load, and exports leave out the IP hash and browser columns.

The Privacy panel lists what is kept, flags questions and settings that could still identify someone, and can remove device data from responses you’ve already collected.

Custom CSS (Pro): your CSS is cleaned and applied only to your survey and its thank-you page.

Tracking (Pro): Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel. Answers are never sent to either.

Version history: versions are saved as you edit (at most every five minutes), when you publish and when you save one yourself. You can compare and restore them. History is kept for 7 days on Free, 30 on Pro and 90 on Business.

Data retention (Business): responses, partial answers and uploaded files are deleted automatically after the period you choose.

Larger uploads (Pro): files up to 5 GB each upload straight to storage. Uploaded files open only for the survey owner or through short-lived signed links.

Security: responses are saved only after access rules and answer checks pass. CSV, Excel and Google Sheets exports are protected against spreadsheet formula injection. File uploads accept only approved file types (SVG is no longer accepted), are rate limited and work only while the survey is open.

More security fixes: stored IP hashes use a secret key, rate-limit records no longer contain IP addresses, AI drafting is rate limited, and signed-in pages send extra security headers.
